A WALK TO REMEMBER

I wrote this poem 7 or 8 years ago. But no title came up to my mind and I dont have a courage to post it online yet. It's arduous feelings to reminisce the past,  Its really a walk to remember, And after this... I'm gonna close this book not because I want to close it permanently but because I will try to start writing a new chapter that will help me to go on with my life. 

 

A true story.... 

Is definitely  

A WALK TO REMEMBER

I was 20

And you were 26

You're a soldier 

And I am graduating student 

You fight for the country 

While I'm searching extra ordinary.

You courted me for a year 

And I say yes when you are 27.

You asked me out for a dinner, 

I never thought it was a civil wedding. 

Its a big surprise to bind us together.

Only your bestfriend is the witness to our wedding. 

At last we are together.

And you serve me like a queen.

I write poetry and  you're my muse.

You're gorgeous with your combat and rifle. 

Many year's past 

I work abroad for the future.

Hoping I can fulfil our ambitions

I leave you and our 3 kids 

In my mind I will work hard for 2 years or 3.

Time flies, like a wind passing by 

It's our 10 years wedding anniversary, 

I'm walking on the aile wearing my white gown. 

My knees are shaking, my tears are falling. 

As I look at the altar and you were there waiting. 

My vision went dark and I lost consciousness. 

It was supposed to be our church wedding, 

But it turned out to be your requiem mass.

" A walk to remember " by Nicholas Spark after watching the movie, I got this idea to post my poem after many years and I'm hoping that he will not sue me for using his title.  And I'm also wishing to have his book A WALK TO REMEMBER.
