TREE OF FRIENDSHIP

Image
Having a friend in your life who is always there, even when situations change, is truly a great treasure. Sometimes we meet people who don’t stay long, yet it is a blessing when someone remains cheering you up when you’re feeling blue, picking you up when trials make you stumble, making you smile when sadness weighs heavy.   A best friend is someone who gives hope and encouragement when you don’t know what to do. Someone who accompanies you, listens to your unending stories, laughs at your silly jokes, and becomes the shoulder you can lean on. With them by your side, every trial and problem feels lighter, almost forgotten.   That’s what the best friend can do. You can love your best friend even more than lovers do. And to those who have a best friend  whether far or near they are the ones who touch our hearts and always hold a space within it.   Friendship, like a tree, grows from the smallest seed into something vast and enduring. It is nurtured by h...

GROWING BEYOND BORDERS : MY JOURNEY AS ON OFW

Image
Growing Beyond Borders: My Journey as an OFW I didn’t plan to become an Overseas Filipino Worker. I didn’t imagine I’d be far from my children, working in a foreign country, carrying homesickness like a second skin. But life doesn’t always follow the path we expect. I graduated from Palawan State University with a degree in Bachelor of Entrepreneurship. I worked at the Provincial Capitol, then moved to Manila for a more challenging role as a Company Secretary. That’s where I met my husband, and together we built a life and raised three beautiful children. But love alone doesn’t pay the bills. And dreams don’t grow without sacrifice. So I made the hardest decision of my life—I left. I went to Hong Kong to work as a domestic helper. Not because I wanted to, but because I had to. I wanted my children to have more than I had. I wanted to give them choices, even if it meant giving up mine. There were nights I cried quietly, missing birthdays, missing hugs, missing the ordinary moments that ...

A CHANCE ENCOUNTER

Image
Sometimes life gives us these moments not to test us, but to show us how much we’ve grown. Seeing him again didn’t break me. It didn’t shake me. It reminded me that healing isn’t loud. It’s quiet. It’s walking away with grace. It’s choosing yourself, again and again. I saw my ex along the street,   Hoped our eyes would never meet.   Causeway Bay was loud and bright,   But my heart sank out of sight.   I looked away, kept walking fast,   Trying to leave behind the past.   But then I heard a voice so clear “Hello, Mari. How are you, dear?”   I turned around, my heart a race,   He wore that same familiar face.   A smile with mischief in his eyes,   The kind that once had felt like skies. He was the manager, sharp and proud,   I was his secretary, hates in the crowd.   Coffee breaks and stolen glances,   Late-night talks and risky chances.  ...

A LETTER WRAPPED IN LIGHT

Image
A Birthday Letter from Leann to Her Dearest Friend “For the friend who changed my life quietly, deeply, and without asking for anything in return.”   Some friendships leave deep, enduring quiet imprints on the heart and that are impossible to forget. Leann had one of those. Her connection with someone she fondly called “best Lolo” was more than just companionship; it was a source of inspiration, comfort, and emotional growth. On his birthday, Leann chose to write a letter. Not a grand gesture, not a lavish gift but a message woven with honesty, love, and vulnerability. It was a reflection on friendship, boundaries, and the bittersweet ache of caring deeply. Leann’s Letter My Dearest Best Lolo,  Hello! I hope everything is well by the time you read this. As for me, I’m doing fine. I truly hope this message reaches you on your birthday. It may not be much, and perhaps it holds no material value, but I wrote it with love for someone I consider special and my be...

MY UNSEEN BEST FRIEND

Image
“Distance means so little when someone means so much.” It’s been seven years since fate took its chance,   A scroll through Facebook, a fleeting glance.   I had nothing to do, just wasting the day,   But somehow your presence lit up my way. You became my friend, though never in sight,   Yet always around when the world felt too tight.   You cared enough to make me smile,   To stay by my side through every mile. I trusted you more than I ever knew,   Never thought we’d grow this close, it’s true.   You teased me, laughed with me, made life bright,   In you I found a guiding light. A treasure you are, beyond all measure,   A bond that time can only treasure.   You’re cute, unpredictable, sweet yet bold,   With stories and thoughts that never grow old. Sometimes you’re suplado, distant and cool,   Yet always sincere, never playing the fool....

I AM YOUR FRIEND

Image
If you feel alone, I am here to accompany you. If you feel sad, I will try to make you smile. If you are crying, I will wipe away your tears. If your heart was broken, I will help you to make it whole again. If you stumble because of trials, I offer my arms to give you strength. If the whole world is against you, I am here to fight your battle. If you need someone to talk, Just call me and I'll be there right away. I am your shoulder to cry on, I am your moonlight in the night. I am your shadow on the day time. I am your shelter on rainy days. I am your best friend who loves you all the way. I am your friend for the rest of my life. But dear, if the time comes that you cannot find me. You called me and I did not pick it up. Please come my dear..... Check me.... Maybe I need you badly.

PROVING MYSELF

Image
Proving Myself a quiet confession in verse A Whisper Before the Words There are moments when silence feels louder than speech—   when the heart trembles at the edge of expression,   and love, though overflowing, hides behind unsure eyes.   This is one of those moments.   A quiet plea.   A truth too tender for casual words.   So I write.   Because writing is how I bleed gently.   How I speak when my voice falters.   How I prove what I feel   when presence is all I have to offer. PROVING MYSELF  ( Rhyme version ) Why is love so hard to say,   When it’s true in every way?   Why’s it easy when it’s fake Just a smile, no heart to break?   Maybe it’s because I care,   Because my love is truly there.   I’m afraid you’ll laugh, then leave,   And I’ll be left alone to grieve.   It would tear my heart apart,...
